NorthStandard

NorthStandard, one of the world’s leading P&I Clubs, contacted us in 2023 to help them make a difference through a focused sustainability approach. They acknowledged the challenge in managing the great complexity of maritime sustainability, where there is such a mix of messages, and many regulatory uncertainties.

They wanted to have the overview which would allow them to have sustainability impact, and placing sustainability more strategically within the organisation. As a marine mutual, NorthStandard is owned by its members, and thus this project required us to manage a great wealth of varying stakeholder expectations. We delivered a holistic sustainability roadmap with a long list of prioritised projects, and a sustainability report, outlining their sustainability ambition for impact.

Ammonia Energy Association

The Ammonia Energy Association, a membership organisation supporting the sustainable energy shift through low-carbon ammonia, needed our help to define their strategic opportunity within the maritime industry. In 2022, we were engaged by them to lay out their maritime strategy, where focus was to understand the barriers and enablers for scaling maritime ammonia . This eventually led to us stepping in as a full-time resource, providing maritime directorship to the association.

E&S Tankers

E&S Tankers, a Chemical Tanker company and a joint venture between Essberger and Stolt, reached out to us in 2021 to get some help with sustainability. They wanted to differentiate through sustainability, and explored together with us what such opportunity could look like. We delivered a strategic roadmap with a long list of initiatives, and outlined the structure of Through the engagement with us, they also explored options in the wind-assist market, as we undertook an RFP process for windship technologies, on their behalf. One key investment following our project, was the employment of a Sustainability Lead.
